The Standard LynkSpyder is designed for use with the GoPro action camera, and cameras of similar size.  It will accommodate all models of the GoPro action cameras. Note, however, that the GoPro tripod mount (not included) is required to connect the GoPro to our bracket. The Tripod Mount can be found in most places that sell GoPro® accessories (Amazon, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, etc.). 

For standard camcorders, those with a larger footprint than a GoPro, select the "Adapter Bracket" check option in the accessories section of the basic LynkSpyder. This adapter bracket is removable.

While we do not sell these pouches directly, we have tested 2 kinds and you can find either of them below:

Both bags work very well and are compatible with LynkSpyder and all of the batteries we test.  We primarily use the BucketBoss bag because of the color.  We find this color keeps the battery less hot than the Lowe's bag, which is black (black material and sunlight generally mean more heat).  However, we still keep the Lowe's bag on our list because they can generally be picked up locally at any Lowe's store in your area and we have used them for years without any major issues.

While our product was originally designed to work specifically with GoPro cameras, we are compatible with all small to medium devices with a standard 1/4"-20 threaded tripod socket (GoPro cameras require a Tripod Mount add-on to add this socket).

Our list of recommend devices is ever changes as technology is advanced and tested by our team.  Before we recommend a camera, we put them through an extensive process that includes, but is not limited to the following criteria:

• Heat: We put the device in an incubator and run them at over 100 degrees F while recording.  If they break here, it won't end up on our list
• FOV: The camera must have Fields of View that are compatible with the majority sizes of ball fields.  If you can't capture the view you want, it doesn't belong on the most adjustable camera mount on the market.
• External Power: The device must be able to be powered via external power while recording.  No camera that we have tested have batteries that will get you through an entire weekend.  We require our recommended cameras to run on external power to make our list.

We are a very small family owned business.  Unfortunately, we do not have someone that monitors a phone on a regular basis.  We do have the capability for a phone call if necessary, but should be initiated via the "Contact Us" page.  This allows us to remain in the ship building product to ship every day, twice a day, and accomdate same day shipments on all orders.

As we talk about on the website, we sell the tripod mount as an optional component because many of our customers already have one.  But if shooting with a GoPro or GoPro compatible camera, a tripod mount of some kind is required.  You certainly do not need to use the one we sell, but we do recommend it due to its one piece solid aluminum design.

If you find yourself in a pickle and need to have one quickly, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and other stores that carry GoPro equipment will usually have this item.  It has more things than is needed to mount your GoPro to a LynkSpyder, but it does include a tripod mount.  The other items are actually pretty handy as well, for other camera uses:

The fasteners for the tripod mount are temporarily located in the top center of the main plate.  These are stored here for shipping.  This video discusses these parts: 

When mounting the GoPro thumb screw into a tripod mount that has a threaded thru hole, make sure to start the screw into the side of the tripod mount that is not threaded.  Once it reaches the threads, it will then sandwhich the fingers together and holding the camera tight.  Starting at the 0:39 mark, this video explains this a little better:

While there are a couple of ways to mount multiple devices to LynkSpyder, here is the preferred solution:

Our product can accommodate most devices that have a tripod mount (a standard 1/4"-20 threaded hole that tripods would mount to).  So getting a tripod mount for your iPad would be required.  While we are not endorsing these products in particular (because we have not tested them thoroughly), something like this would work:
